What is "A Slower Speed of Light" All About?

While the name is a little odd, the MIT Game Lab open-source title ?A Slower Speed of Light? offers a more egg headed view on PC and Mac gaming. Most of us would just think of the speed of the speed of light as a constant.? But what if you could slow it down? That?s what the geniuses at the MIT Game Lab did.? In their new tittle players will progress through a level by collecting objects in a run of the mill style of game.? But what sets it apart from everything else is the "relativistic game engine." So what does that mean? Well the more objects you collect the slower light moves.? And the slower light moves the more you will be able to see phenomena like the Doppler Effect, Time Dilation, and Lorentz Transformation.

Now I don?t claim to know all the science behind this game but it?s not all alien to me as I do have a science background.? Some of this is not new to me but some of this is a little complicated and alien to me. Now I have to ask the simple question.? Is anyone really going to understand what they are playing? Well if you?re just as curios as me you?re going to want to take a closer look at this game so feel free to download it and give it a try and let us know what you think.
