The School of Education is an outstanding provider of teacher education and one of the largest in the country. The School of Education works in partnership with a wide range of schools, colleges and Early Years Settings in the West Midlands and you will liaise closely with them.
A suitably qualified and experienced person is required to teach Mathematics with Design and Technology to trainee teachers across the age range from Primary and Early Years through to Secondary and Post Compulsory trainees. In addition, to work with schools to support trainees on placement.
You will have experience of working as a teacher and mentor, as well as having had successful experience providing professional training for colleagues. A first degree in Mathematics and or a related discipline as well as QTS are essential and a higher degree is preferred
There will be opportunities for a suitably qualified candidate to develop your own teaching and pedagogic facility as well as engaging in research.
