4H Kids Give Back To The Twin Falls Animal Shelter

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) This year marks the 100th year of 4H in Idaho. And every year, the club is encouraged to do a community service project.

Each time around, the club elects to walk dogs at the animal shelter.
This year the group donated old blankets and dog and cat toys.

The members stepped it up even more by sponsoring a pet and pre?paying its adoption fee.

The animal shelter is overflowing with animals and currently offering a discount on adoptions.

Brittney Stirling, an animal shelter employee says, "we've been overwhelming with a lot of animals keep with the amount of dogs going out and we try to find the best home possible. To me, for as much as i work here, the adoptions are going pretty good. We just wish more people could afford to come in and adopt and we wish others would come in and adopt."

One of those dogs being taken care of is Stetson, whom the 4H club sponsored.

Vickie Barnhill, Four H says, "this is stetson. This is the dog we've chosen to adopt. He's approximately two years old. He's a neutered male, good with other cats."

The animal shelter is open six days a week, Monday through Saturday.
